Clearly... this is the worst shoe ever...  for someone to think that one can be comfy in this is insanity.

Robin.S. Sharma, 10 Best Personal Development Books.

I wanted to share the 10 Best Personal Development Books for Robin. S.Sharma. I have read 4 out of 10... Whoooooaaaaa i have got a long way to go.

So here are 10 of the best. Read them. Share them. Study them. LIVE them…

1. Jonathan Livingston Seagull. By Richard Bach.

With lines like: “Don’t believe what your eyes are telling you. All they show is limitation,” this book will move you deeply. I re-read it in Thailand. Still amazingly good.

2. Think and Grow Rich. By Napoleon Hill.

Fantastic book. Not so much about financial wealth as it is about the making of a rich life. You’ll learn how important it is to have a burning desire (this galvanizes your focus and causes the release of your creativity) + the imperative of setting clear goals + the value of “a mastermind alliance”. This book truly changed my life when I was starting out as a self-published author with nothing but a dream in my hands. Times were tough. This book got me through.

3. The Meditations of Marcus Aurelius. By–well, Marcus Aurelius.

Marcus Aurelius was a warrior—who then became a Roman emperor. He wrote his lessons on greatness and a life well lived during a multi-year military campaign. Someone got his notes. And put it into this book. I go back to this book often. It strengthens my character. And resolve to help more people.

4. Steve Jobs. By Walter Isaacson.

One of the best books I've ever read. Period.

5. Long Walk To Freedom. By Nelson Mandela.

Nelson Mandela’s one of my heroes. Noble. Courageous. Focused. A visionary. If I could be 1/100 of who he is, I’d be overjoyed. This is his autobiography. You’ll walk with him through his days as a lawyer, his time as a disruptor, his prison years and his period as the positional leader of South Africa.

6. Stop Acting Rich. By Thomas Stanley.

Thomas Stanley became famous for “The Millionaire Next Door”. But this book–not so well known–is exceptional. He explains the concept of “The Glittering Rich”, shares how too many of us live beyond our means and how to create true financial freedom. Like most of the books I read, I listened to it.

7. As You Think. By James Allen.

Maybe 10 times. That’s at least how many times I've read this book. And like all great books, it seems better+wiser and deeper every time I read it. Of course, the book hasn't changed. Just my ability to grasp the information. And understand the concepts. This book is all about the power of your daily thinking. And how it drives your life’s behavior. As you know so well: your behavior shows us your beliefs. And this awesome book will inspire you to build new ones.

8. The Magic of Thinking Big. By David Schwartz.

Uber-practical. Tons of value. Great concepts, like “Go Through Life First-Class.” Every student, teammate and human being should read this book (along with “How To Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie–that work should also be on my list. True.).

9. Talent is Overrated. By Geoff Colvin.

Read this one a few years ago. Changed the way I viewed Genius. Confirms a lot of the work of exceptional performance researchers like the famed Anders Ericsson that talent is less about natural gifts and far more about devotion to a skill, relentless practice and patience. Another superb audiobook.

10. Spark. By John Ratey.

One of the best books I’ve read in years. I’m on my 3rd reading. Shares the latest (and so fascinating) research on how exercise transforms the brain, our performance, our productivity and even builds a new type of brain that is excellent at resisting stress. Please do your life a giant favor. And read this book. Today!

Ok. So there you go. Some of my favorite books. Go study them. And use them.

Please remember, ideas–flawlessly translated into reality are the keys to breathtaking success. And you becoming more of who you truly are.

Oh–and definitely make some time each day to read. Small little advances in your knowledge base lead to quantum improvements in your performance over time.

Be great. And dream even bigger. The world needs you to shine.

The Power Of Your Words

Most people, when they desperately want something, will say things like, “I am dying for that piece of cake!” Few will say, “I am living for that piece of cake!”

What is worse is that we are quick to mention death when things go wrong.

Yet, the truth is that every word you speak has power — to build or destroy hopes and dreams, to restore or cause loss, to heal or break the spirit, to bring delight or despair, to bless or curse — even the bible says that death and life are in the power of the tongue.

So stop lining your words up with the negative circumstances. Instead, start lining your words up with God’s Word and release the power of His Word to work for you.

For example, instead of speaking lack and poverty, say, “God’s Word tells me that the good things are already here. I therefore pronounce my life blessed. I pronounce my life successful. I pronounce my life great. Darkness and gloom, poverty and sickness, defeat and depression, will not be in my life!”

Instead of speaking sickness and death, say, “I will live long. I will not die young. Jesus died young for me so that I can live long for Him. I am the righteousness of God in Christ and God’s Word declares that no evil befalls the righteous. So no evil will come on me now and in the future!”

Instead of speaking fear over your children, say, “God’s Word declares that the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. Therefore, my children are delivered from every curse, every power of darkness and every evil. In the name of Jesus, I call forth a great, bright and blessed future for my children!”

God wants you to have a life filled with good days and an abundance of every good thing. So say, “In the name of Jesus, I command blessings, favor, health, provision, protection, dominion and power to fill my life!”

Line your words up with God’s Word and release the power of His Word to work for you.

THINK BEFORE U SPEAK

A 24 year boy seeing out from the train window,Shouted...

"Dad, look the trees are going behind!". Dad smiled and a young couple sitting nearby,
looked at the 24 year old`s child's behavior with pity.

Suddenly he again exclaimed "Dad, look the clouds are running with us!".

The couple couldn't resist and said to the old man, "why don't you take your son to a good doctor?".
The old man smiled and said", I did & we are just coming from the hospital, my son was blind from birth,
He just got his EYES TODAY". :)Its the Happiest day of his life.

Moral - THINK BEFORE U SPEAK.

First, I wanted to wish you an outstandingly creative + fun April. Fresh new month. Great opportunity to step up, show up and rise up.

Its end of month and an analysis is in order both in my occupation and personal life.
Well, I might have perhaps done this in the subsequent few days, but the chance of being pretty excited about the upcoming Easter holidays could surpass me. So here I pen this quick blog.

The question springs in and out... How far have I stretched this month...? Am I in line with self and goals?

I have been learning within my work environment to change strategy almost every week.
Am I in-line…? I’m getting there.
Did I achieve the necessary goals? Not to my expectation.
Nevertheless while things got tough, I did not give up. The best thing is; persistence included me going on my knees like never before.
I’m confidently pleased I learnt a better method to attain what didn't materialize and I plan to transfer that to the month of April. Revising what works and what doesn't on a weekly basis has kept me in-line.
In summary, REVIEW, LISTEN TO FEEDBACK, LEARN, SHIFT DIRECTION WHEN NECESSARY, DON’T GIVE EXCUSES.

On a personal basis, there is no way I can live without checking in with God.
I have learnt to create me time and relax on my resting day in order to be energized for the upcoming days.

Thank you for all the prayers.

I conclude with this thought, let’s never be delusional to think that it is our genius or efforts alone that take you to great heights.

Peeps,
I have got to tell you what happened yesterday.

Just before that, let me fill you in with my previous word blue-print.
Before I moved to this place, I happened to chat about how I strongly expected to bump into one of my old friends. Anyways, I mentioned it then completely forgot about it.

UMMMMMMhhhh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guess what happened yesterday?
You got it right, as I crossed the road, somebody shouted out my name the African style <<<<>>>>
As you can imagine to my shock, I couldn't figure who that could be… if this was my motherland I would understand. The thing is, I didn't expect it here… SO it was a GOOD surprise. :-)

Well at the end of it all, it was that old friend I expected to bump into right before I relocated.
Jeez! I learn on a daily basis to speak positive affirmations and dreams that will benefit and improve my life and those I care about.

On different note, yesterday’s dinner was something new to me. My housemate went ahead and introduced me to what they call yams (Please note: what they call yam here is completely different from our yams back at home). They are pretty hard even when cooked well. Will I eat them again…??? That’s another story to tell.

Have a Good Friday.

Cheers,
K

Oh what an adrenaline-charged journey relocating can be!

YES!!!!!! It’s been a weeeeeeeeeeee while BUT I’m back to tell you all about my new life.
So, talk about blessed, happy, fortunate and favored!" As a stranger in the new land, there is some catching up to do.

I have come to realize that a journey is defined as going from one place to another. It’s a pilgrimage, a discovery, a destination.
My life has been on a journey that has grown from small beginnings to beautiful experience.
Can’t wait to tell you all about it.

Once again, I extend my first blog of the year to my best of the bests… GOD
Much love for all you are bringing into my life. I’m left speechless and in total owe.

To all you fabulous people.
Cheers. K
